The top, speed limiting
dial is infinitely adjustable from 1200 to 3000 rpm. I prefer the detent
type control of the DeWalt but must admit Flex's infinitely
adjustable control offers more flexibility. Once the speed limit dial is
set, the adjustable trigger allows operation from 0 to the set rpm limit.
Note:
The speed control is numbered from 1 to 6. According to Flex,
here's the rpm range: (Speeds can vary 200 rpm depending on the line
voltage [110 volts to 120 volts] in your area.
1 = 1,000 to 1,200 rpm
2 = 1,600 to 1,800 rpm
3 = 1,900 to 2,100 rpm
4 = 2,050 to 2,250 rpm
5 = 2,200 to 2,400 rpm
6 = 3000 rpm
Rugged German
construction and a powerful 10 amp motor makes this the Mercedes Benz of
polishers. The LK603VVB comes with a one year warranty that is honored by
Flex Service Centers nationwide.
Backing plate not included:
My only nit-pic
with this machine is that Flex does not include a backing plate. (We show
one in the top photo which we needed to keep the machine upright for
photographing but it is not included with the machine.) Select one of the
backing plates below to fit the pads you are using:
FBP-375C for 4-inch, Spot Polishing Pads
FBP-6C for 6-1/2 inch and 7-1/2 inch Pads
FBP-7C for 8-1/2 inch Pads
