  Mothers PowerPlastic
Mother's best plastic cleaner,
polish & protectant just got better!
Product Review by Terry Freiberg
Plastic polishes are tricky
because they have to be abrasive enough to remove hairline scratches, water
spots, yellowing and stains but not abrasive enough to create haze and swirls.
This is a
tough balance that Mothers nailed perfectly with their standard Plastic Polish
and managed to improve with PowerPlastic.™ Think of PowerPlastic
as Mother's standard Plastic Polish on steroids! PowerPlastic is designed
specifically to work with Mother's PowerBall
Mini and a cordless drill. This combination quickly buffs out fine scratches, smudges, yellowing and water spots in both hard
plastic lens and soft vinyl convertible windows.
A knockout combination:
Mothers advises to put a ring of PowerPlastic around the circumference of the
PowerBall but I find this produces too much splatter and there's no polish on
the wheel when you first turn the drill on. I prefer to apply two 8 inch
lines of PowerPlastic on the plastic surface to be polished. With the power off, spread the
polish over the surface using the PowerBall. This coats both the
PowerBall Mini and the surface with polish. Now press the PowerBall against the
surface and slowly bring the drill up to speed. Polish the surface to a bright shine
then buff off any residues with a dry Microfiber buffing cloth.

Remove salt
residues and polish marine Isinglas and polycarbonate portholes.
Use the PowerBall Mini
or the larger PowerBall with PowerPlastic
to restore optical
clarity to cloudy, vinyl side curtains (Isinglass), Lexan or polycarbonate
portholes. |

Clean-up: When you're finished polishing, soak the PowerBall in a bucket
of soapy water or better yet use a packet of Snappy
Clean Cleaning Powder (below). Rinse the PowerBall thoroughly,
squeeze out excess water or spin-dry the pad on the drill and allow to air dry.
There is no need to take the foam ball off the drive hub. The drive hub assembly
is cadmium plated to resist rusting.
PowerPlastic Polish is
available by itself in an 8 oz bottle or packaged with the PowerBall Mini.
