Note: Within the industry, this polisher is classified as an
orbital polisher. It is designed to safely apply compounds, polish
and wax in a manner similar to hand application. It creates
a mirror-like finish and shine in a fraction of the time it would take
by hand. It will not create swirls or remove your RV/boat's gel coat finish.
The pad does not
rotate in the conventional sense, it oscillates. This
"jiggling" occurs at such a high rate that the eye can not see
any pad movement. This is normal. This is the way the polisher is
designed to work. This polisher is not designed for heavy compounding
and may not fully restore gloss to dull gel coats. To restore gloss to
moderate to severely oxidized (dull) gel coats, consider a
professional, circular polisher such as the
Makita
9227, or DeWalt
849.
This 7424 RV/Marine
Detailing Machine is best used to maintain new RV/boats and/or gel coats in
good condition.
This kit is designed for
standard or painted gel
coat finishes. We do not include any compound, polish, wax
or sealant in this kit allowing you to use your favorite products. We do include
a Bow to Stern Application guide. If you follow the instructions in this guide,
you should be able to compound, polish and seal any marine or RV gel coat finish
using your favorite products.
This kit includes one
Gel Coat Orange Power Pad for polishing and three different pads for
finishing. Most pure waxes
and sealants apply best with a Red Finishing Pad. Some combination
polish/sealants like Klasse All-in-One apply best with a White Polishing Pad
while other polish/sealants, like Bow to Stern One-step, Gel Coat Micro-polish
& Sealant apply best with a Gel Coat Orange Power Pad. We include a Red,
White and Orange Gel Coat, CCS Technology Foam pad in this kit so you will have
the correct finishing pad regardless of the final wax or sealant used.
